explores the rich synthesis of Western musical tradition and Russian folk melodies.
Tchaikovsky’s energetic and tuneful Serenade, Arensky’s touching tribute to
Tchaikovsky and Shostakovich’s deeply autobiographical Chamber Symphony combine for
